Disco 1 Rear axle to chassis tie rod

Set off up the road on Sunday and on acceleration veered to the left sharply .
I took it home checked all steering linkages couldn't see anything wrong so tried again then heard a loud clunk rear axle . first thought was diff or a half shaft then spotted the tie rod hanging torn out of the chassis . Any advice please on next step or parts required .

thats pretty poor if its rotted there, id give the chassis a real good look over before i fixed that,though you can buy new ones

Wow that's real nasty!

Get round it with a taping stick n screwdriver, you may not have a lot of chassis left when you have finished.

Well it's only done less than 5 months of a 12 month mot it had when I bought it in December . The chassis in front of where it broke isn't good at all .

The disco chassis does suffer from over aggressive tin worms!
