Help needed please!! 2a 88 inch
After rebuilding my rear axle and building it back up on new para springs and shocks
The near side wheel is about 40 mm too far forward of the centre line of the axle and is also sat way higher than the offside.

the u bolts and bottom plate are located on the springs ok.
The chassis isn’t out of square
The springs seem to measure the same.

do these parabolics have a left and right?
does it just need to settle and line up??

When building mi trailer I almost put a spring on back to front. The center pin wasnt actually in the middle of the springs so each set of leaves had a front and back.

Can not quite see in your pics but has the N/S spring hanger flipped over centre and is the wrong way. This can happen with new springs and no load. [ such as the body ]

I can’t believe i did this!! I had put the wrong shocker on the offside, the shorter one from the front!!!! Throwing it all out!! Idiot !

another thing that doesn’t look right now is that the axle seems to be sticking out past the rear crossmember by about 20mm on the near side and inset by the same on the offside. Is this a normal offset or is it wrong

Put yourself in the dunce corner for the first item:oops: In the o/s pic I can see all of the half shaft nut and washer. on the n/s not all of the nut so photos not squaire on.

Parabolics are not handed and I would leave the drop straps off as they should not be needed with parabolics.
Whose make springs are they and have you stayed at standard length shock adsorbers?

Shock absorber? Or spring? I assume the shackles were at quite different angles. I was very careful to keep front/rear left/fight quite separate and ensure I knew which end of the spring was the front...just in case!
