looking to get my first P38 shortly, purely for road use as wanting some luxury but have bee nhearing horror stories about air suspension, gearbox and electrical faults costing the earth.. is any of it true?
Totally new to RR's but want to take the plunge without drowning so any advise would be greatly appreciated
cheers in advance

Just been reading through and seen a bit about cracked engine blocks (pre-2000?)/loss of coolant is this a common fault?

Mine is for sale with the peace of mind of a warrenty for 18 Months and it has just had a new engine

All things you have read are true. Blocks can crack, air suspension can fail etc, etc, but with some patience and a friendly specialist who can plug in his Testbook/ Rovacom to help with diagnosis and not having a fear of things mechanical / electrical you will be alright. All the things that can go wrong have happened to someone before, and that person has put a write up on a forum somewhere- so you are never alone if you have trouble.

That aside, I have had my 96 HSE for nearly two years now and all I have had to do is change a bulb. Good luck in quest and welcome to the club (did I mention mine is for sale?)
