re calibrating eas ride height

Fit Arnott Gen 3's and suitable shocks and it will go over most anything, no need as far as I know to touch the height sensors but all the info is available on rangerovers.net I can supply the lead and software for the EAS.

Roverrenovations and I think someone in France were doing extentions to the height sensors as it is required in extreme cases.;)

I have fitted Arnott Gen III's to my p38 and re calibrated it to give an extra 2" of lift on the off road setting. It really is high now. Normal and motorway heights I have left the same as standard.
I have fitted front OEM shockers all round to allow the extra travel. This is a cheap solution instead of buying expensive shocks. Handling is good on road. Maybe a little bouncy off road but acceptable.
I have fitted longer Goodrich braided brake hoses all round to allow more axle movement. Height sensors on the front are fine as standard. They will take the extra height. On the back I have extended the sensor arms to give the extra 2". This involved cutting the arm and threading the end to accept a modified linkage. I bought the linkage from Rover Renovations in the States. Problem is he has just gone out of business though he may carry on making the parts.
My wheels are standard 16" but I have fitted General Grabber AT2's. If you go larger there can be problems. Tyres can catch on full lock and the spare wheel won't fit in the wheel well. Also if the EAS goes down to the bump stops larger tyres will jam effectively immobilising the vehicle although this can be got round by fitting extended bump stops.

whats the ride like on gen111 on motoway height like..i looking for firm compared to dunlops

Motorway height with GenIII's is a bit firmer and a better and more stable ride at speed imho.

At normal height the ride is not as good as OEM Dunlops. It is quite a bit firmer or harsher. Car is also definitely noisier inside.

At off road height the ride is softer and much better.

Also when I fit my winch to the front the suspension stiffens up. Obviously with a heavy weight slung out front it needs greater air pressure in the bags to level.

Towing with a heavy caravan is fine with GenIII's. I tow at standard height.

hmmm....love to try them first before buying...i need them for 2 door rangie, abit lighter than the p38!

but am after as stated a firmer ride at motorway settings..BUT..my car is set up +2inch =standard...+3 =high...standard rrc height for motorway and just off extended bumps for access...i using dunlops at moment (brand new)..car is set up to be slightly higher at rear than front..
