Hi all my first post so be gentle,iv done a search on what im wanting but come up with a blank,iv got a 2000 p38 4.0 HSE which iv had for bout 10 months, only just started using it for greenlaning but want a tad more hieght out of the eas.

IV seen on ebay that u can get the relevant software and leads to re calibrate the EAS using a laptop and just wanted to know if anyone has done this and what would be the max height i could achieve.i dont want arnott gen III as iv got reasonably new gen II on it.

Also wanting diff guards, the only reasonably priced ones seen are on ebay but bolt onto the existing diff studs, are these Landrover Range rover P38 diff guard rear BA3133 | eBay ones any good regarding protection,

huge thanks in advance

Your RR has gone through years & years of R&D.. it is a very capable vehicle.... If you really want to raise the ride height, poss a second vehicle, for off roading

If you increase the height using recalibrated height sensor values using the software, you could unseat the airspings, plus you would need longer travel shocks I guess too.

Remember though you *could* increase the extended height, but the lowest point will always be the Diff Cases.

As for the Diff Protection, I would prefer a wraparound version - one thatgoes round the diff case and bolts to itself...as one that bolts in place using the diff case bolts, if it gets a good whack could crack the diff case.....just my opinion.

cheers for the replies guys ,but yes not disputing that but just looking for things to do to her guess will just save up and get the better diff gaurds

cheers again

I like my coils! They allow me to run taller tires, they allow a lot of travel and I like not worrying about the EAS because there's plenty else to worry about. Plus, being a Merkin I like the lifted look.

Granted, I never driven a RRC with EAS, so I know nothing of the feel of the car as original. Perhaps the ride is amazing. But to someone who grew up with American Iron and leaf spring suspension my coil conversion still feels posh.

I off road a lot, as well drive a thousand of highway miles a month. It's very capable in both roles.

bloody hell..

just do it..yes datatag on here sells leads and software is free..go to us forum range rover net for stacks of info..

to get as much lift as you want one can add spring spacers, that sorts the un seating problem, though adds ****s more..gen 2 wont unseat s easy as dunlop..though one would have to go some to unseat dunlops!!!

once have software read all instructions included and go up in very small increments..

maybe even buy a spare ecu (£20-50) on ebay..keep one standard heights for normal road use and plug in the other with lifted heights for playing with..

non adjustable, harsh or too soft, not as nice a ride.more road noise..basically a compramise compared to air..

Depending on how much you increase the height you will also require to extend the height sensor mechanical linkages as well.

Fit Arnott Gen 3's and suitable shocks and it will go over most anything, no need as far as I know to touch the height sensors but all the info is available on rangerovers.net I can supply the lead and software for the EAS.
