re build or trade in ?

Well less than a year after buying my discovery it seems to be dying rapidly, Every joint seems to grind and crunch m, every screw seems to have rattled loose and its like driving a tin shed.
The thing is Do I spend the money rebuilding this or throw in the towel and get something else that might fall apart on me in another years time?
Needs a new Turbo so might as well get the intercooler and pipework to give it power, the steering is really graunchy , the thing wont reverse up hill unless you put it in low box. The gear change (auto box) is accompanied by a clunk and you need an umberella to sit in the cab after a heavy shower.

The trubo has 20 % of its spline length left and look s like it tried to swallow a wing nut at some point.

Grr I hate these vehicles some times....
Anyway anyone got any clues as to where I get this rebuilt at a rreasonable cost or shall I JUST SHOOT IT?

I spent 2k on mine to get it right to sell it.

The day i sold it, 3 weeks ago, the exhaust decided to blow and the window seal decided to leak.

I couldnt wait to get rid of the heap.

Get rid of it mate. I love my Disco but am getting a little bit fed up with all the work going into it. It's a real love hate relationship. I am seriously considering going for a Defender. I am not a farmer and have no intention doing any serious off roading but think they look great. Does that make me a ****?

No, your only a **** if you have a defender and sell it for a Disco, or you buy a gaylander.......or become a passenger in a gaylander.......or look at a gaylander........

**** me you really are a set of lightweights, the idea of owning a landrover is to keep you occupied at weekends. they all fall apart around you,even defenders. think about it logically, if you didn't have the landy to fix, her indoors would either have you doing jobs in the house or taking her on shopping jaunts.get it fixed, bit by bit and it should keep you away from decorating etc for at least a couple of years.

yella is right, i fix one problem on my 110 and straight away another problem arises.
But its all good fun (usually )

The simplest option is to buy a series. There's virtualy nothing fitted to it to fall off. When you do buy one you know you're going to spend every free weekend you have maintaining it. The postive is that you know the good lady will never want to drive it and you'll own the best 4x4 that there is. Period. No argument. So there!
