Hi guys, My P38 is still immobilised only it is at a garage where they have spent lots of money on electrickery type devices and they have an ex landy guy there. So only 14 weeks with out a rangey.
My question is.... what is rave? I saw it mentioned and am still in the dark. So what, where, how much and what else should I have,( except a huge bulging wallet)

cheers
Bob

type "rave land rover" into a eBay search and you will find loads of them! It is the official Land Rover technical documentation for their vehicles. Not suppose to be available to the public, so buying a copy (and selling!) is highly dubious, but so widespread I'm not sure what they can do about it.

If you search around this forum, you may find links to downloadable CD's - but be aware that they are several hundred Mb's!

Well worth having IMHO.

Rave is no longer so any cd's you buy will be out of date, they'll be no good for newer models, we lr techys use GTR now which is web based

But the guy has a P38. The technical info on RAVE is still relevant to the P38, whether or not LR use another system now.

Read again, i said rave is no good for newer models, didn't say anything about p38

But that was the whole point - the OP was asking about RAVE in relation to a problem regarding his P38, so whether he used GTR or RAVE was completely irrelevant because he doesn't have a newer vehicle.

Bob - Not sure why you think RAVE is gobbledegook - I have to say I find it quite easy to follow for a piece of technical documentation. The pretty pictures help too! :) You should read the crap some manufacturing companies come out with!
