'Morning All,
Same old question I'm afraid.
Can someone give me a working link to RAVE download please?
Mine has spontaneously stopped working. Whenever I try to open it Acrobat says it can't, file is corrupted.
I've tried all the links in the Techie section to no avail.
Thanks

Its the flash component of Adobe that is no longer supported by windows, it will only run on an older pc or version of windows (early win 10 or previous) I believe, windows auto updates and renders Rave unusable

I couldn't understand why... good to have an explanation.

It only works with the old version of Adobe. The new version seems to take over and f*cks everything up. I was going to look at it one day but been too busy lately.

ISO file can be mounted in windows 10, and then just run the "rave.exe" from the mounted drive. For older windows versions you might need a free ISO mounter such as https://wincdemu.sysprogs.org/ or https://www.winiso.com/download.html

All my versions of RAVE run ok directly in Windows 10, but following the Microsoft 2020 updates you need to set compatibility mode to Win98. See this video https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-ro...-2020-update-breaks-rave.363692/#post-5046300

Also, the version of rave to use depends on the model & year of your car.

I’m running the latest version of windows 10 with the latest Adobe reader and it’s working fine for me lol.

Me too but needed different fixes on updated windows depending on version of RAVE.
  • For the "RAVE All Models" version which includes the L322 & Facelift V6 Freelander, I changed the Adobe Security settings for the RAVE folder & sub-directories. Same version runs with no issues on Mac OSX.
  • For the older "RAVE with TSB's" it uses the older Adobe bundled in it, and requires the "compatibility" fix. This version does not run natively on Mac OSX, needs a VM.
  • Then there's the "One PDF File" version which has the entire thing combined into a single PDF. This opens ok in every PDF reader i have tried (even iPhone & Android), but navigation is slow compared to the multi-file versions.

Its the latter version that i've been using I believe.

Are you windows 10 then recent update has caused this. You can either turn it back to before update or do what I did. Locate original file, right click to show properties and there is a tab to click to run in previous windows format. Having a sh*t day so will put full instructions on later if you can't sort it or PM me

Hope all is well now. Interested to see what the proper rave looks like!
