Hi Folks
Still a new boy but well on the way to joining the ranks of the bewildered.
Just wondered if it might be an idea to open up a heading ( sub-group or whatever you would call it) dealing exclusively with body parts.....not the rude ones.
I'm generally scrambling around trying to find odds'n sods of body and trim fixing stuff. Looking for tips about e.g. how you remove previous thick hard rubber stuff that's been holding on trim etc..
It's OK for you guys with drawers full of bits that have fallen off but not so easy for new starters.
Stealers don't even seem to carry some of the stuff and just give you a blank look when about the thingys that hold the whotsit bit on.
You also feel like a real wimp having to ask where you can pick up a washer.

The LRseries website is a good place to find obscure parts.
Also download the RAVE cd. it's on the forum. Under common faults and questions I think. has the land rover parts catalogue with it. (if i got the directory wrong I'm sure someone will correct me)

Buy scrap one off ebay, failing that buy Khrystal's its in worse knick though lol:p

You cheeky get. Ok so I have a few minor problems. like rear crossmember, alternator, abs system, the engine is bleeding, the drivers side swivel seals are left the building, the drop arm ball joint is a tad loose, the roof liner is making the inside of the car feel like sitting in a coffin, the upper tailgate handle has fallen off (ok I pulled it off) the nudge bar doesn't sit square, the drivers seat has a hole it, the sunroof has a slight leak, there are a few minor wiring issues, the drivers seat doesn't go up or down, the rear chassis rail is rotten, the tracking is out, the drivers door is about to fall off and the spotlights don't work.
Other than that it's ok.:doh::doh:

And at least my AT works:lol::lol:

Hi
I've got Rave and tried most of the parts websites : the commonest answer you get is to try a local body shop. Went to the stealers who also couldn't help.
Maybe it's just me.

Try parts panel. Used to use them years ago and they were ok. Known by Avenue Panels back then though
