The front of the sump just of center out towards the fos wheel there is a blind bolt with no access that I can see ? It's under Therethe front cross member and there is a black cylinder which torsion bar runs through blocking acces from the front

Sorry there's no picture, can the black object be removed also to gain access?
No I don't think so it sits horizontal between the front wheels and the torsion bar? is bolted to it. It is situated more the drivers side if that helps ... You may be able to tell I'm very new around rangerover thanks for the reply though gives me hope !

Looks like a prop shaft/drive shaft.

Isn't that part of an active anti roll bar system. I've never been under one before. @gstuart and @Saint.V8 or @myfirstl322 could help shed some light before you pull anything off and leaving it stuck off road for the time being.

Is there another way to approach this by undoing the gearbox and lifting gently the box up to get a tool in to the bolt? Another option would be to drop the crossmenber. That would depend what is bolted to also?
