Hi all im putting a 3.5 EFI engin form a 88-89 range rover into my 90

ive got the engine on and turning over but i have one socket left over with the following wires:

White/ purple
2 white / red
Thick Brown
2 white

im told that all i need to do is wire these wires to the relivent places e.g fuel pump and the engine should go but i want to conferm before i start wireing things up and blowing my ecu what they are. ive been phoneing around and people either womt help or cant help. i think its more of wont than cant as im sure that im not the firet person to do this.

so is there anyone out there that has put this engine into there motor that can help or someone that has got a rnage rover wireing diagram that then can e mail me???:confused:
 
well got the fule pump on though i dont think the ECU is powering it
and a spart just need to put some fuel in it and once all the wires are connected have a go at a start. just need that wire diagram !
 
its a male end and the plug its self is white its got 2 white, 2 white/red, purple/ white and a thick brown

if you look at the loom that goes around and off the engine at the back its not far from there
 
any chance you can scan the page for me and e mail it me? i cant see why the sig socket would come from the enigne loom? ive been told that the white and purple is the fuel pump

White/Purple from -- Fuel pump in tank to --Fuel pump relay (30)

White/Red from --Starter/ignition switch to --Starter relay(85)

White/Redfrom --Starter relay (87) to --Fuel pump relay (87)

Brown from --Starter/ignition switch to --Starter relay(30)

White from --Starter/ignition switch t0 --Oil warning light

There is also aWhite/purple looped from pin 87a to pin 85 via fuse on fuel pump relay .

The above is taken from fuel pump circuit (petrol engine) V8
 
Brown wire goes to battery live +,

White/Red goes to crank side of ignition switch (only live while turning engine over),

White goes to Ignition switch live (ONLY live when in run position),

Purple/white is + feed to fuel pump,

In engine bay there will be a single black/white wire usually with the airflow meter loom, this has an inline resistor MAKE SURE THIS IS FITTED, this then goes to the negative side coil for efi ignition trigger to tell the ecu engine is running and to fire the injectors,
Two black wires with ring tags on, these MUST GO TO A VERY GOOD EARTH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
well ive got it going thoigh it runs for about 5 seconds then splutters to a holt i think that either the timing is out of the fuel pump is not big enough as is only off a polo as thats all i could get hold of. but at least its running. woop woop
