Range Rover Van!!

Can anybody here give me any info on a range rover van?? iv'e just bought one today and i get the impression that its a rare beast!! its a 1982 genuine range rover van, and as far as i'm aware its an ex police armoured response unit! its got a mere 70k genuine miles on it and it really is in good condition for its age. any info on this type of vehicle would be greatly appreciated.

I've only ever seen one Range Rover Van before and it is a rare find. The one I saw was for sale in LRO classifieds a couple of years back and that was listed as ex Plod.

i really can't comment on that being that i was only 4 yrs old! although there seems to bemore need than ever for armed response now..
I'm getting the idea that it is rare, its a pretty straight motor for its age too. I drove it home yesterday, abou 6 miles in total and only broke down once!! i'm sure i can pick a rear diff up soon enough lol... Let the fun begin!!

I guess it was the good ole days when the emerency services could afford to have specialist vehicles and resources sitting around.

Now it is much more about getting the most out of everything - today ARVs are in 24/7 use as traffic cars.
