Hi all,i am going to change front and rear brake pads on my 2003 range rover to try and save my self some money (spent enough on it already) is this a straight forward job? used to do them on my td5 90 and it was very straight forward , just never done them on range rover before so any advice will be much appreciated. thank you.:)

I'll second Bob's comment. It's surprisingly straightforward. No more difficult (other than the wheels being a damn sight heavier!), than either of the two Fords I also own.

Guys
Am thinking of changing my girls pads and discs shortly, and have read through the 5 page post on fullfatrr website, quick question....

how many break pad wear sensors will I need in total for front and rear pads and discs change? Is it 8?

You'll need two sensors. One for the front (passenger side), and one for the rear (driver side), though if they haven't activated (i.e the light hasn't come on on the dashboard), then they won't need replacing.

Cheers bigdel, was worried with my cack-handedness and heavy handed approach I might break them getting them out

tomcat, got my ramps to go under side ways, and lots of 4x2 wood to chock it up too, oh and mrsblonde to lift it for me :)
