Firstly, Hi all,

It's been a while but I've sild sold thecar and come back to the wonderful world of Land Rover. Boy have I missed these little niggles. Lol

Any who, I know this problem has been covered extensively but non of the threads I've read covers my problem.

So Last week I brought a 2006 RR vogue from the auction for myself. Paid what I feel is a really good price, 7300 with 84k 1 owner with full service.

Within a couple of minutes of driving her back I realised there was no sound from the radio. My first thought was the amp had been removed or was faulty. After reading some info on here today I removed the amplifier and checked for water damage and could not find any. That's not to say the amp isn't damaged.
I also noticed that the sat nav DVD drive was missing.

I have removed the fuse (49) for 5 mins but still nothing.

Before I order a replacement logic 7 amp from ebay for 400 quid (can't tell the wife) does anyone know if some how by the DVD drive for the sat nav being removed this would some how stop the amp working?
I know it's a long shot but ypu never know.

Will upload some pics in the morn for those who are interested

Cheers all

Do you get anything from the satnav screen, or just an orange flashing light on the LH knob on the screen? Can you call up the radio, screen setup options or any other stuff on the touchscreen.
If the DVD satnav player is missing, have the MOST fibre optic cables been joined together. The satnav system, radio, etc. wont work unless the fibre op signal can get the whole way round the loop. Might not be the amp at all, but the DVD unit you need to replace.

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes I can access the radio and the CD player. If I press the sat nav it says it's not installed. When the unit it off the Orange light does flash. Still at no point can I get any sound.

I'll have a look tomorrow to see if the loop is connected. I've been lookig online for a DVD sat nav unit. I called Land Rover for a part number and they gave me Yib500160. The bad thing isbit any see any with this part number, will any from the same year fit?

Again thanks for the help

So I've check all the wiring, I can see what I think is the loop, white wire casing with green wire in it, and that doesn't connect into the sat nav, so it's looking like I'm back to square 1
