Range Rover seats into a Disco

I've done a search on this but can't find the right info.

Has anybody fitted electric RR seats into their disco.

I have just aquired a set and I was hoping that all I would need to do was provide a + & - connection as the switch is mounted on the seat. However there is a fairly large multiplug under there.

Any help would be appreciated.

never seen it done but anything is possible if you're willing to work at it.

get a wiring diagram for a range rover and a disco and you'll have to sit down and work out what wires do what, i dont think its a case of just hooking up a live and earth, what year rr are the seats from?

Hi, Sorry to answer your question with a question, but I want to drop a set of RR classic leather seats into my 200Tdi Disco. Did yours go in fairly easily? The rails look wider than on a RR....was this a problem?

Funny how this thread has gone full circle; from posing the question to someone listing my own installation.

Hoepfully this will give some guidance. as you ca see I didn't bother with electric seats in the end.

ffs keep up lad, yer lucky it went full circle, they normally just change direction a few times

Excellent! Thanks for the web-link, doesn't look too difficult......although I've frequently said that moments before staring in horror at something that I shouldn't have drilled, unbolted or hit with a favourate hammer!

Its quite staighforward as long as you take it one step at a time.

I can't remember if I said in the write up but I would suggest you used 5mm chequer plate rather than than the 3mm I used as this is a bit too flexible.
