Hi All
Iv just got myself a 1998 P38 Range Rover.
When i bought it i knew it needed a lot doing to it which i am in the process of getting done.
Its an automatic and iv noticed a vibration/roughness when im driving at around 30mph or really slow in traffic.
Could anyone tell me if this could be a symptom of a worn out auto box?
its got 150000 + miles on it.

Cheers
Alan

Would not suspect the box so early, they are a pretty tuff unit, start with the basics. Are the wheels tight, are the tyres good ie no lumps etc , are the wheels balanced, check the prop shafts for bad joints, and go from there..gearboxes can do 200000+ easy

Hi
Thanks for the reply.
I have just had a new set of alloy wheels fitted and no difference. When i accelerate slowly and keep it to 30 mph or less the vibration is very noticable. Its definately in time with the engine revs. I get visions of worn out clutch plates covered in muck rubbing against each other, when i put my foot down its nice and smooth.
