Hi this is my first post so please be patient.
I purchased my Range Rover and it has developed a problem with misfiring, I have been advised that number injector needs replacing but do not know which it is, is it the 4th from the front, or the 4th from the back?
How hard is it to replace the injectors, and do I need any special tools to do this?
Thanks in anticipation

It's 4th from the front, it has wires coming out of it. However, I think you may have been miss-advised, It needs to go on P38 specific diagnostics before you waste cash on a new needle lift sensor injector. Does the MIL light come on on the dash?

If it has a misfire it is either a duff injector or a sticking valve. Diesels do not normally misfire. Number for injector sends a point of injection signal to the ECU for injection timing adjustment purposes. Easy to replace you will need a window socket and a torque wrench.
