hello everyone. I have a Range Rover l322 V8 2004 and I love it. Unfortunately I let the battery run flat and now the immobiliser has kicked in and I can't start it. I resynced the key and all central locking now works but I think the immobiliser has lost its code. The engine cranks. Loads of life inthe battery. Has Anyone in Sheffield got the textbook or similar that can resync the immobiliser and key? The Range Rover is currently stuck on my drive 8-(
Any help much appreciated.

Mine used to lose the sync between the EWS immobiliser ECU and the engine ECU and would crank and not start. Anyone with an all comms or similar can diagnose it but I had to buy a faultmate MSV2 to be able to reprogram the link. Testbook T4 can and a few other high end diagnostic tools. I used to pay the local main dealer or could be an Indy to come out with a T4 laptop and it would take them less than 5 minutes and would charge £100 to allow for travelling time.the first time it happened I took the car to the main dealer on a trailer which is an expensive hobby.
I have just purchased an INPA lead and software for £24 off Ebay to try to see if it will talk to the BMW brain in mine.
It would be worth diagnosing it first though even if you can’t program it.

Hey Andy, could you link your INPA info, as I have a newer 3er and my current KKL lead that used to work with my older Bimmers and INPA doesnt work with my (still old) but newer 3er. Ta muchly.

Hi Ant, tribe ok ?
I’ve not tried it yet mate, I bought it off Ebay and I think it covers my year rather than the later 06 onwards that needs the canbus lead .i have read about using the INPA tool on a range so could be a very cheap tool. I’ll check it works first and send you the link mate.
