Hi guys, back again, could anyone tell me what the operating volts at the transmission should be on a 03 l322 diesel, iam getting 11.9 when running, and 13.6 at the alternator I reckon there's a problem trans fail safe is coming on and in manual it doing strange things,it seems to be changing down it's self,it has also been jumped a couple of times

best ask over in the range rover section.

Thanks for getting back to me,I put in a proper Bosch battery and it's putting out 13.6 volts at tick over I was just wondering if there's a common fault somewhere on the gearbox loom also transfer box ain't working any help would be great

Sorry it's 14.6 at tick over, just checked the alternator, could the low voltage at the gearbox cause the fail safe to come on going between 3rd and forth it's giving the impression of slipping when you put your foot down but fine all the way up to third,I am getting engine braking coming down the box in Manual kind of want to rule out these voltage problems before pulling the box,the box, after checking has done 25.000 miles since a full recon and brand new TC from LR dealer so of it's the box or the TC I will be very surprised but I've heard all sorts of things about low voltage on these vehicles, sorry to ramble but I'm just looking for info.cheers
