EAS sorted!!
I had the chance to buy an EAS ECU for £100. So I bit the bullet and ordered it, as I'd checked everything on the wiring/connection side. Just had no feed to compressor relay from Pin 8 on ECU and that should be 12V as soon as ECU recognises 500 RPM from alternator. Fitted replacement ECU and worked straightaway. It's a slightly different P/N and off an earlier car, but seems to be working fine. Happy days. Thanks for all help and info.

It would be interesting to open the ECU up and see what has failed.

Funny you should say that Datatek. I am going to drill out the 10 pop rivets that hold the board in the casing to see if I can see anything obviously blown/burned. I'll let you know.

On the same car but a different subject......
My rear wiper won't run constantly when switch is pressed in. It works if I hold switch in manually. My question is....is the rear wiper switch a "latching switch" or "non latching" ? If its latching then my switch is faulty? But they as rare as hens teeth, can't see one new or used any where. So if someone can let me know what type of switch it is ? If its non latching then I have a problem somewhere else on the circuit ? I'm also wondering if the switch is used on any other vehicle ie Freelander ??
