When I was off roading last week I went through quite a bit of water and spent a few times parked up waiting for the engine to dry. While messing about yesterday I jet washed the engine and sprayed WD40 on the distributor and the leads and the coil pack, It seems to be the coil pack thats the biggest problem so I was wondering..... Does this get hot? cos I was thinking of maybe putting it in a plastic tupaware tub.. drill 2 holes in the bottom for the fixing bolts and then attach the coilpack to hold the tub in place.. with a hole in the front for the wires, filled with silicone... Then with the tub lid in place will be watertight and also leaving the option to get to it by taking the lid of if it ever fails..

Would this work?
