Have just fitted a ram air snorkle to my td5 90 which now feels to be more responsive changing up through the gears. is this normal or is it all in me mind!!!

i fitted a home made snorkel an have saved a furtune in air filters,
put a new one in at xmas an it's still spotless,
before i was changing them every couple of months an they were black
an i felt a difference in the response too!

don't know if its the same kind of principal, but i had a 1380 mini years ago and fitted a bigger su carb that i got from a mate, it came with what he called a ram pipe attatched to it, about 12 - 18 inches long and this had a K&N filter on the end, the ram pipe was supposed to improve the induction, i don't know if it did as i never fitted the carb without the pipe, but the car went like **** off a stick
