Hi All,

This is my first post so go easy on me in case I'm asking a rather dumb question!

I've had a Freelander 2 (11 plate) for 10 months now and it is superb but I've a question that I was wondering people may be able to help me with?

I've rain sensing wipers, which I don't particularly like and was wondering if it is possible to somehow switch them off to a manual intermittent wipe? ( I know they can be switched off altogether and you can press the stalk down for 1 wipe). i.e like an old fashioned intermittent wipe!

Many thanks.

Dave

if you look at you windscreen carefully from the out side you should see the water sensor diode if you take a wire of one side and tape it up that will stop it sensing water

I had them on my Yeti. Overall they were very good. I personally prefer them to intermittent wipe. I forget to turn my intermittent wipe off :D

I should know by now, I've only done 7500 miles in 6 months......

I just find them maddeningly inconsistent. I can have the same amount of rain falling and they will work at a set speed and then slow down, speed up etc. Rather have it the old fashioned way!

You can adjust the sensitivity of the rain sensing wipers by rotating the rh stalk.

I find that I use the penultimate least sensitive setting for most cases and then increase when the wipers aren't clearing to how I'd like.
