Hi all

I have a 2002 90 Defender
The wiring to the stereo has been cut and the standard radio/casstte I want to fit has male bullets on the rear of it I know what all the wires coming from the car loom to the stereo are eg live, earth, speakers etc but I dont have a clue as to which bullet connector (on the stereo) they fit into.
Dose anyon have a picture of the wires going into the right places on there stereo.
Sadly the markings on the stereo sticker have rubbed off so I cant tell you the make or model. All I know is it is out of a 2002 defender and has male bullet connectors arranged in a "L" shape on the rear. I have heard its the same as a Bmw?

Hope someone can help?

Many Thanks

Ben

what colours has the radio got?? Yellow is usually permanent live, Red switched live Black earth. Blue =leccy aerial. Speakers is just a case of matching them up 1 pair at a time and adjusting balance L to R & Fader B to F (if fitted)

Yeah it has all those colours you metioned. I know what the wires coming from the car loom are. its just I dont know where they go into the stereo unit itself.. Its such a headache.

cheers for the reply

ben

there are no wires coming from the radio.. when i bought it on ebay it just had the male bullets cheers ben

But if it has Male bullets they must be attached to something. Or do you mean spade connectors?? in which case it's probably an ISO connection & Halfrauds will sell you a convertor.

The stereo unit is totally free of wires. On the rear of the stereo there is just a series of male bullets in an L shape. On my vehicle the wires have been cut and the connector that you connect to the stereo removed by a previous owner. The trouble im having is that i dont know where the wire from the car (bare) connect to the male bullet stubs on the rear of the head unit.

I hope that makes abit more sense :s

cheers ben
