Hi everyone,
Can anyone help me wih a problem on my HK stereo system? for the last couple of weeks it's been cutting out randomly and now it's packed up all together, i've checked the connections, and also tried putting an aftermarket head unit in it but no joy, i've tried disconnecting the satnav in case it was muting the stereo but that didn't work either! when i turn it on and off i do get a thump from the sub but no sound anywhere else. i've also checked the fuse under the drivers seat and that's ok.
The only joy i have now is opening the window and hearing the V8 burble away.
Many thanks

If it's the Diversity..send it off to Clarion nr Swindon for a full overhaul and service for around £70 odd fixed price. They do a superb job..highly reccomended plus they send it back the same day as they get it.

is there an amp on the subwoofer if not then it might have the dsp amp which is inside the rear panel behind the subwoofer which if it has i will be %100 sure that has gone as they are prone to go,

ah brilliant, i'll have a look tomorrow! is there a more reliable replacement? also is there any way to test the amp?
Many thanks for all your replies guys
Dan

the only replacement is to buy a new one from land rover, forget about eblag as most are them are probably duff ones people are trying to pass on,as for testing them im not sure about the one that is mounted on the sub if it is that one,if it,s the one in the panel like mine i never found anywhere that could test or repair it,but i decided to put a complete aftermarket system in with dvd.

what year is yours and is it the vogue model?

well it should have the dsp amp fitted,to get to it you will need to remove the trim subwoofer and cd player then you will have to remove the trim panel that is behind the subwoofer drop the rear seat down to make access easier and be gentle when you remove the boot seal you only ned enough to remove the panel, then pull the sound proofing to ones side and you should see it it has one big multiplug on it and the amp is fastened in with 3 10mm bolts/nuts,

tools that i used when i did mine are
10mm socket and spanner
5/7/8 mm socket and spanner
flat head screw driver
posidrive screw driver
