radio dunt wurk!

I took the stereo out of my disco a few months back. Its the Rad/Cass with CD controller with a stack under the seat. I managed at long last to get the code for it off the internet. I was planning to put this stereo in the lads car. He has a rover and the connection plugs look the same. Plugged it in and nothing came on or lit up at all. i thought maybe the wiring was different so tried to put it back in the disco, same thing, no power on indication or anything. It worked before it came out. Am I missing something? Is there some special way of turning them on if theyve been out? Should I ask a scouser?

Check for a blade fuse in the back of the stereo or for a fuse in line on any of the wires

Theres a 10a fuse on the back which is OK and the new stereo works fine when I reconnect it so the supply must be OK.

Are there no fuses in the wires to the connecting block

I'm sure there are but when I put the other stereo in it works so that fuse must be OK. Theres a slight 'pop' from the rear speakers when you press the on button but thats all.
