anybody know how to a code generator to decode the standard clarion PU-9836A radio cassette fitted to the 1996 p38? battery failure led to code loss and the number i was given doesn't work. any idea's?

i gave up in the end and paid my£23.50 to land rover, you can get decode software for just about anything except for............you guessed it..........clarion. standard LR RR fitting. sods law.

Get in touch with supplying dealer (Origional) they should be able to get the code but will need proof of ownership and the VIN.

as i mentioned in my second post, i went to the dealer for the code. even professional decoders said this model could not be done via serial no. i did obtain a clarion decode tool but it didn't work on my model either. but if you fancy a go then the serial no. is CR0154T0014140 and the model no. is PU-9836A. you tell what you think the code is and i'll tell you if your right. all the best.

the serial number must be numbers only according to the decoder so it came up wiyh 2115 or 2642 let me know cheers

sorry..........i don't have my vehicle at the moment, it's locked up at work. i should have it back tomorrow but i'm pretty sure the code is 3141. i will check and i will also pull the plug and try your numbers and see if they work. give me a couple of days.
