I fitted a disco2 speaker to my headling i cut the wires before the adapter which was supposed to be rear speakers i ran cables plugged it in worked fine went back to fit the second speaker an hour or two later no sound from any of the speakers all fuses fine.

I wouldn't go saying that too loud, there are some people who will say that the ICE system in the Disco 2 is total crap and should be ripped out, including the speakers at the earliest opportunity and buried in the deepest hole they can find before they stick in a radio with more bling that the Blackpool Illuminations.

Having said that, I'm quite satisfied with the original fit in mine thanks.

Ha this radio has the bling and flashy lights i hate it in night but its a 50w radio
One of the disco 2 speakers i fitted had popped and the other one id pulled of discovery had also popped but not as bad
 
Some of the cheaper wirelesses that use MOSFET amplifier chips can have problems. The better ones reset themselves when rebooted after a short on the speaker lines but some dont. Opening them up and very quickly shorting out the legs on the MOSFET chip seems to be the only answer.
When blasting down a motorway at around 90 in my series I like to listen to relaxing woodland birdsong whilst sipping chamomile tea in my caftan.
 
I've still a lot t do with soundproofing before I can get any benefit from a radio. At 50 watts I'd be worried I wouldn't be able to hear things dropping off.

Whilst we are on the subject, have they changed the measurement of a watt as sound output. When I was a teenager, I had a 50 watt valve amp and it was as loud as hell, there is no way you could have coped with that at full volume in a car. Does 50 watts now mean 5 watts but through a 10 speaker system?

Yeah, I can understand 50 watts of raw output power, but these days manufacturers use odd values such as "music watts", and nope I don't have a clue either!

All i know is my radio says 4x50w so 4 speakers with 50w between them or each

Tdci so not many clunks and bangs but have to say its the worst puma comfort wise ive been in
Base model as well so no gimmick
