Freelander 1 Radio code

Hi all recently changed the alternater & battery on my 2006 hse td4 freelander 1 and i went to my Land Rover dealer in Canterbury for the codes for my keys and radio as i don't have the code card, they were very helpful
but the code they gave me does not work on my radio what do i do now??

AC/DC and make the kids walk.
Get it recoded or find someone to get the code from it, there was a guy in Birtcholt Rd. Parkwood. Maidstone who had a sound system shop in one of the units.
He was good and cheap, need to take the stereo in the shop so he can plug it into his lap top, five min job.

What was the length of the code they gave you?

4 or 5 digits?

What info did they take off you? If you give them the radio serial number etc then they can request the code from the factory

Or for around £100 you can get a much better head unit with Bluetooth, USB and potentially DAB

4 digit code, no info, just plugged it in and got the code.

My radio also needed a code. 1st LR dealer on the phone said need chassis number, was unhelpful and not interested. 2nd was really helpful, took the number plate and gave me the code over the phone, and it worked. Pleased... but no satnav disc

@screech36 - if you're changing your unit can I have your disc?

The Becker sat nav needs a 5 digit code to work

Can't remember what you add to where to get it to work
