Radio and Dash light problems

I have an'03 Discovery and have what I think are two separate problems. I just had mine in the shop last week to replace the heater control lights. Tonight the temperature control light is out on one of the buttons (the button to turn the temp up or down). Instead of spending another $50, is it easy to access this light?

Second problem: Harmon Kardon stereo has weird letters and numbers in place of the numbers of the presets (i.e. does not read 1 2 3 for the channels instead reads L2-*3-4* 2K.....). I can't find a solution in the manual.

Does your Discovery have the digital display for the heater controls, rather than the rotary knobs? if so there are various bulbs for the unit - IIRC its easer to access it by removing the stereo first, this gives access to the top of the unit to allow the retaining clips to be released, then you can get into the back of the unit to replace any blown bulbs.

Any guidelines or resources on how this is done? I'm a true neophyte.
