Firstly forgive my ignorance as I'm a tratter owner but I've got a 2a to restore. It's missing a few things one of which is a radiator. Apart from the thickness is there any real difference between a 2a rad and a three? It's a 2 1/4 petrol if that makes any difference with the head lights in the rad panel not the wings.

No doubt this'll be one of many saft questions

Its one of those questions. o_O
Im sure an original rad for a 2a will slot in nicely and probably a 3 but few of the advertised modern alternatives fit very well anyway.
If your goal is concourse then try and get an old one re cored. if you just want something that works there are lots of manufacturers that include a 2/2a/3 one jobbie fits all model but be prepared to re drill the mounting holes and adjust its height so the bonnet will close. Same if you have a cowl to snug the fan into. That too will probably need tinkering with to fit onto the new rad without hitting the fan blades. I wouldnt worry too much about its volume or vane number or anything else. The engine historically runs a bit cold toward modern engines and unless your towing tankers or expect to have it ticking over on the drive for hours just about all available will do the job. Just dont say I didnt warn you about the britpart ones. They look OK but I had 4 delivered one after the other and all had been damaged in transit coz the packaging is naff.

Cheers for that, I'm probably looking at getting a used one and getting it repaired just for a bit of originality but the lower hose seems to be in different places on different radiators

Cant remember if its the 1 with a straight bottom connection and 2 with an angled one or 2 straight and 3 with an angle. Make sure you get the relevant pipework for the bottom connection.
