looks to be leakin right in the middle, wet one side but only a dribble on the other !
only started since i took off the viscus fan ,
sooooo , was it leakin all along and the fan dryin it , ?
or having solved a leaky heater box has it found another weak point in the system, ?
as it wasnt getting very hot before , now its nice and warm its descovered a leak,?
who knos
any one recomend a good place to get a rad from ? craddocks, paddocks ??

Are you near beamends? they are in staffs
 
Presuming your rediator is all metal (i.e. top and bottom) you may want to look at getting it re-cored. I got mine done up here, cost about £150 but that was for a high capacity (not sure thats the right wording) core that should help your heating issues.

Not sure who would do it down your way but given its about £100 for a new rad anyway i figures the extra cash was well spent on an upgrade.
 
Serck inter truck will recore them, however it's almost the same price as a new one most of the time. I would be tempted to pay the extra 40 or so and get a new one though.

What engine do you have? I have a brand new 2.5na/2.5petrol etc. rad here, esr79 i think.

You might be able to repair it, solder it up.

sounds like a tube seam has gone. biggest fault on any core is a seamed tube. get one with seamless tubes in.
But i doubt a dealer would know either way which tubes they have in

yeah its the esr 79 ;)

am running on rad weld till i can get a goodun , ma mates found on so will call in later in the week and get it sorted,

if not might take yer up on it :)
