 Hi I am in need of some advice and info . I have a 2.5 diesel P38 , it looses water but it is not mixing with the oil , it does not leak out while it is standing or running . I am wondering if the cap is on the road out ?? The cap has a yellow base with 140 marked on it . Don't know if this is the temp rating or the pressure for the radiator . Any advice appreciated !!

Checked your carpet, drivers footwell, by clutch or brake pedal if its an auto. if it's wet, does it taste sweet?(anti-freeze). If it is then check "how to" section for heater O rings.

Both the passenger and drivers sides are bone dry . I have thick rubber matting fitted and there are no signs of any leaks new or old .. The reason I'm asking is I'm going to flush out the system then put new coolant in .
Cheers Duncan ..

My diesel lost little bit of water every couple weeks, couple months ago took top hose off at cylinder head end to flush the system and found the stub corroded, cleaned it up and refitted it with two jubilee clips instead of the spring one and not lost any water since ( says he touching wood ! ).

Look under the carpet for wet. The caps often need screwing down more than you would think, they go tight before they seal.
