All,

I used the forum search, and google search for the last hour to no avail.

I am after the type of fitting to the R380 gearbox breather, as i am trying to get the right fittings or a kit to allow one breather system for:

Axles, transfer box, gearbox, and timing case.

There are complete kits available on eBay, but the gearbox connections just seem to be a push fit 'in line' connector...

My concern is that the kit expects the push fit to join onto the existing breather pipes? But isn't the point to get rid of the banjos rather than just keep the existing breathers and extend them? I know that kit solves that problem for the axles, as it comes with threaded fittings, but its the gearbox fittings im not sure about.

The kit I'm looking at is this:

Item No: 111613106766

Land Rover Discovery Wading Kit BLACK 200 300 TDi Engine Gearbox's Axles | eBay

Which Isn't too badly priced, considering I would like the timing cover plate to get rid of my now redundant air con belt tensioner. (Aircon delete).

But if its no good then it might be better to get the kit as individual components at non LR tax prices from a pneumatics supplier. Only thing is getting the timing cover...

Any experience would be great.

Happy Easter.

Mine are all pneumatic fittings. I've done away with all the original banjo fittings now and have push fittings instead.

iirc they are 1/8 bsp .in fact I'm sure they are as I used that size recently to tap my timing cover plate to put a breather in that with a pneumatic fitting. :)

I'm sure someone will correct of I'm wrong.
