just went to fit me new terrafirma springs to the rear and there is a left and right but no up and down :( didnt bother me at 1st, but just realised they are progressive springs

so, do the tighter wound coils go to bottom or top.

my instinct is bottom, but i dont want to have to fit them again if im wrong!

quick guys, its going to be dark by 10!

If they was internal springs an oil was used fer damping the tighter coils go at the top so they dont displace too much oil. Wot difference does it make if their in fresh air?

so your saying i could fit them either way in fresh air? i thought it would be more responsive at the top for lighter hits, then as it progresses through the travel (harder hits) it tightens up to prevent complete bottom out

Wrong?

Doesn't matter which way up as long as they sit in the holders correctly. Basic physics the shock load will always go to the weakest point first no matter which way up they are. Just ensure they match each other when you fit them.

makes sense i suppose :) i went with tighter wound on the bottom in the end. they look awesome. only done 1 side on the rear at the mo though. other side tomorrow night and then the fronts over the weekend.
