Quick question on airfilter box...

Quicky one as Im trying to finally connect my snorkel and I'm struggling with a position for the airfilter box!

so, I have this airbox off a Disco 200, but finding space to fit it on the defender is starting to get on my nerves!!!

I finally found a way that the bonnet will close and both sides of the airbox line up with the intake from the snorkel and exit to the turbo, therefore having almost no bends on the air line....

problem is, that nipple thing on the airbox is facing up!!!
is this a problem? I know on the disco its there as a drain for water coming up the air intake, but as I have a snorkel this won't be a problem?
Also, if I have the defender quite deep in the water is it possible to suck water through there?

I've tried other ways like laying the box on the top (same position as on the disco) but if i do this, the air intake from the snorkel is facing inside the wing and there isnt enough room there to get a hose in...

Blue arrow - exit going straight to turbo
Green circle - the air filter box nipple thingy facing up

Take the rubber nipple off and seal the pipe,you will have to seal it if you fit a snorkle anyway or you are defeating the object of a snorkle because the system wont be watertight.
