Hello, I am new to the forum and I wanted to ask a question. I have a puma and I think the thrust/ release bearing has gone on the clutch. I would also like to upgrade the output shaft that goes in to the transfer box. has anyone done this before on their own not in a commercial garage. I am trying to reduce that defender clunk. I have done the flanges, halfshafts and I have the input gear ready to go in too. I want to remap it too but don't see the point until the transmission is running sweet. I would appreciate your opinions..

I own and run an agri contracting business so I am very hands on but just wonder if that job is too difficult to do? I know my way around big agri machines, but I am on the job learning when it comes to the defender.

thank you

Rich

Check with a LR main dealer, there may be some recalls for repairs you don't know about
