Disco 2 Puddle under disco 2

I've:mad::mad::mad: just about sorted my D2 and now have an mot on it so I've been using for the first time in weeks.
Upon returning from a drive out today when I went back to where it was parked the was a small puddle of water under it. Then again when I returned home after about and hour I went to move it and again another puddle. Now it only water as its not greasy like coolant water and it leaves no mark once it's dried up. I tried it today with no Climate control on and still another puddle appeared. It approximately leaves it passenger side just behind the bulkhead area. Any ideas anyone. :mad:

Reason , I ask this is , unless econ is selected then the AC is stil working, I had what sounds like the same puddle under mine until I found out about the econ button.

Hi Neilly. Yes I know about the Econ button. So tried today with out anything on at all and still did it. But it looks, feels and smells like pure water. Strange ain't it.

:D....If it tastes sweet then it has anti freeze in it and its from the cooling system. Just dab it on the end of your tongue and you will know. It could just be rainwater. Possibly from the sunroof drain???
 
It could be the "overflow" from the A/C.
There are two small drains underneath the vehicle, one either side of the gearbox which drain out the air drier plenum of the A/C, and yes it's just clean plain water.
The time to worry is when they block up and then the A/C drains all over the floor inside the vehicle.

Thanks Brian. I'll have a look underneath after a run.
 
I'm pretty sure the sunroof drains drop down inside the A pillar and there's a small hole at the base for the water to drain from. If it's those you might want to check the rubber seals between glass and sunroof as the drains shouldn't come into use unless you've opened the sunroof. Should be easy enough to test in this weather or with a hosepipe on the roof :)
 
Well tasted the water today and it was as good as a mountain spring. So that rules out coolant. So if it's air con drain would it really be dripping constantly whilst it's sat ticking over as it did today. I had the Econ button switched on and both sides where set to 24 degrees.
One thing I will say is the air con fan is permanently on, or at least it was before I pulled the fuse. I am having a computer plugged in Thursday morning to clear all the faults so hopefully that will reset the fan, but I wonder if that could be causing a fault.
But the air con is freezing when it's on.
 
Not very clued up on AC, but if it is on a lot it will produce condensate. We fit air source heat pumps at our work and they are basically a larger AC running in reverse. Produce about 12ltrs of condensate a day.
