Tried to find the circuit diagram for the PTC heater. But my Rave 2002-2004 and 2004+ didnt have them or atleast i couldnt find them. Its the NAS versions so that might explain why.

Found it in the operation and description section. You can probably find out from there. See attachment.

hi

bless u so much for that, trying to work out which wire goes to what as its sounds mind boggling, lol sorry in being so dense, as ive never heard of one of these units and always learning

suprising theres not more info around on line showing where they all go , once i get these wires connected can start to get the dashboard in, and progress getting the rest in and back on the road

i know this may be cheeky but not sure if u can see the wires from underneath the dashboard as if anyone could take a pic they would be a life saver please

will continue to read the great attachment to see if i can make sense of it

thks again and am so grateful

Rave just says to reconnect the three Lucar connectors, if it was vital that it had to be connected a certain way they would have fitted connectors to do that.
A car can be fitted with either the PTC heater, or a heated front screen, with its own small loom.

hiya

im not watching this post honest, lolol

you have got a very good point my friend as the entire wiring loom behind the dashboard as u say have dedicated plugs that will only fit that particular item

i am so grateful to u having a look for me, driving me nuts that a simple thing as 3 x wires can drive u to insanity

the thing that really wound me up is my local dealer, not releasing the info, but happy to come and get the hippo and repair it at great expense and know i wouldnt get change out of 3-400 quid , they can stick it and seeing ive gone there for years and thats the service u get

have wondered if the nas wiring would show it

but i think ur right if it had to go to a dedicated plug the connector would be keyed

thks again for looking and really am so grateful

This is what NAS Rave says re description...
􀁺 Fuse 1 is connected to PTC heater element 3 (C1879) by a BP wire.
􀁺 Fuse 2 is connected to PTC heater element 2 (C1877) by a BN wire.
􀁺 Fuse 3 is connected to PTC heater element 3 (C1878) by a BG wire
Are the elements numbered?

couldnt work out the nas rave

got the 3 x wires coming out of the ptc being
red
white
blue

then on the main loom another 3 wires being
black , orange

on the label its got the land rover part number jef000010 , valeo, 12 v, 900 watts ,

even rang valeo and they couldn't help either.

dont know if that helps
