PRT mod kit differences?

hello guys, 1.8 kseries cooling question again! i got sent the wrong prt and hose assembly, the grey one instead of the cream one, and wondered if someone a little more clued up can tell if i can just take out the elbow piece that's extra on the grey one ,and use it anyway... will the 6 degree difference and lighter spring s in the prt help knacker my engine?

is the whole assembly i've been sent... not by rimmers though. mine hasn't been modified at all yet, someone just removed the old thermostat completely..

That t peice isn't for your year, take it off and put the hose on the prt.

if it isn't long enough you can refit and block the outlet pipe.

well... i've never done anything like that on my own before, am i a grown up now or just a mug with a dog of a car

seriously though it was easy to do and the car runs MUCH better than with no thermostat at all, shocking hey! thank you for the help,I'm sure i'll be back for more soon!
