Hi all,
My name is Paul, I'm based in North Devon, just got myself a defender 110 csw. It's defiantly a love hate relationship. Got plenty to do on her, just done the clutch and cambelt, and yes the long bolts on the pump snapped but got them out with an extractor. Next will be a small amount of welding on the lower door sections. Chassis solid, bulkhead only has a small hole drivers side. Going to change the windscreen seal. Has anyone done one before if so any good tips....

I'll have a good practise first... I've stopped the leak for now from the screen bud will change the seal when it stops blowing an absolute armagedon style wind. ...
Thankyou for your response mate..

Welcome to the forum, Rusty.
Plenty vaseline & pull cord method. Get the two ends of the screen in first then work your way to the middle top and bottom. Hopefully, that makes sense. If not, just say and I'll explain in more detail.

Welcome... Don't try the windscreen seal without research, check YouTube they are very difficult.. An expert can make it look easy but many a video of folk levering them in with all manner of contraptions only to break them and have to get another. Autoglass don't even replace them unless the engineer has done one before (few have).

FYI mine had some cracks in 5 years ago and I just sealed them up and its still going strong.

True that. I cracked my first one! Bought replacement and that one flew in, plenty vaseline! I flexed the first one far too far
You have to pull both ends in first then work your way in to the middle.
