Hi, iv just bought some diff guards and a steering guard for my siia landy, have fitted the rear diff guard no probs. BUT cant figure the front out, do i need to disconnect the steering arm to fit it, if so how hard is this to do?
Also do i fix the steering guard using the bolts through the front of the leaf springs because the holes in the guard look too small?
cheers

Hi,
I just removed a front diff guard off a mates series 3 he is scraping.
You just have to give the steering arm a tug to squeeze it past, its tight but it will fit without removeing the arm.
When i got it home i put it on my series 1 and i had to do the same to get it on there.
Hope this helps

Oh thats for a diff guard! dnt no about steering guard!

Thanks, the diff guard is the next job so I'll bear that in mind.
The steering guard looks like it is mounted using the bolts which hold the springs on, but before I start connecting it up wrong I'd appreciate any ideas anyone might have.

I don't know whether these guards are all similar but if it helps I can take a pic of mine in situ and post it?

Here you go, ,mine is indeed secured at the sides with the leaf-spring bolts.

Thanks Moonie

Mine is a bit differant, but it does look like that's where it should go. I'll put it on my list of jobs for the weekend, so far it's upto replace doortop, look at brakes, and fit snorkel.
