Prop Shaft UJ's are they all the same

Measure them. The early and later prop shafts are interchangeable, so unless you know it still has the shaft it left the factory with, there is no other way of telling!

the pre-87 type is about 10mm wider across the yoke.
however, my 92 fender was fitted with an early prop.

there's a fred on ear somewhere that explains it all in detail - try a search.

Get underneath and measure the width across the outside of your propshaft yokes.
If it's about 93mm, you have the earlier type and need UJ part number RTC3346.
If it's about 87mm, you have the later type and need UJ part number RTC3291.

You can NOT be sure about yoke sizes from the chassis or engine numbers, or model or year or anything else!

Whole prop shafts will interchange, and you may have a shaft with the other sizes of UJs fitted as a replacement complete shaft. The FLANGES should be the same fitting to the diff/gearbox flanges at each end of the propshafts, but the YOKES inside the flanges may be the other size.

Measure them!
