Hi hoping someone on here can help me, ive recently replaced the clock in my landrover freelander and notice that with this one also when the ignition and engine is running the light is on but when i need it on at night ie when the lights are turned on it goes out,:confused: any suggestions much appreciated

Ive checked the bulb and its fine its in the back of the clock, i just dont understand why it goes off when i put my lights on.

mine does that it does not go off it just dims and so did my other one and so does the wife's

same here , when i put my lights on its dims down along with the radio etc

wonder if its a bad bulb, as i assume its a double element , know when i took mine out a while back its just a small green bulb

I fabricated (great word for cutting and shaping plastic) a piece of plastic to fit the 2 LED thingys and then used a glue gun to stick that to the trim. I then pushed the LED things through and ran the cables where there needed to go. I took power from the existing light switch which is quite complicated as mentioned above there are several circuits for the light bulb- off. on, on with lights. Took quite a while to work out which contacts to use, and the only way for me in the end was to wire it to the light circuit, so to see the clock, I need my side lights on all the time. As I have CREE LEDs which I use as DRL's it isn't a problem.
