Problem with Front Heated Windscreen

Hi

I have Freelander 2 SE 2008 Model, and since the recent cold weather when I put the heated front windscreen on, it is not demisting the windscreen fully across the screen. What I am seeing is large streaks of condensation down the screen in places rather than the full demisting. The only way to clear the screen is of course to put the hot air blowers on to clear the screen. There are no cracks or large chips in the screen, I am just asking whether this is common fault and how it can be solved or does it need to have the entire windscreen replaced?

have you tried putting the aircon on as well that clears the screen well it not just for winter.

Is the seal around the windscreen okay from the outside?
