power steering

my steering is stiff when i first start the landy then it slackings off a little when driving.but makes a loud buzzing sound when i turn the wheel.anyone know what this might be?i topped up the fluid.

have you checked all the track rod ends and lubricated the steering Uj's in the engine bay to see if it makes a difference, also check how easy the front wheels are to turn when they are jacked up before writing off the pump

the fluid was low tonight.no i havent checked the track rod ends or ujs.will do that though.why would it use fluid?

it doesnt, only looses it. check for fluid loss on the bottom arm of the steering pump as it might need a re-con or a new one
