Currently traveling through Europe, about half way through Germany now and I pulled into a service station and the steering felt a little off. Parked and when turning the wheel it's easy.. then a little hard ..then easy, then another hard spot... Till it hits full lock.. both ways.
Fluid is full but very dark looking and a maybe burnt by the looks of it, can't see any leaks and no noises that concern me, tyres are full and I'm a bit confused
Pump going bad maybe?
Well if it does die I hope my breakdown cover will sort it.. but any ideas?
Thanks

Unfortunately out of everything I brought I forgot the wd40.. will see if a garage has some next stop, the only thing that concerned me a bit was air bubbles in the exoanzion tank, but there's not a lot and are very small
Thanks for replies

Got to my first destination and oiled up the uj's as it was getting worse and worse, worked perfectly, thanks guys!:)

they will want replacing when circumstances suit
It's on the list, but I've only just got done decorating the Christmas tree... On my dashboard
Some noise from the front right wheel for a bit, then when pulling up grinding on the that brake and pulling badly to the right' 3 amigos on. Break pad was cracked and Fu**ed, piston may have been seized but freed it, new pads on but guess a wheel sensor or something is Fu**ed too as lights won't go out

a wheel bearing hub is needed id think, only drive on it until you can feel play at the wheel, its possible if codes are cleared lights may stay out if not the hub but just the shock, but either keep an eye on that wheel till your sure

Try poking the sensor as far as it will go, any distance and it gives a fault, play in wheel bearing kicks it out as well.

Well I've been on the wonderful roads of Romania for a while now and I do hear a little sorta knocking on that wheel going over potholes etc' 3 amigos ain't going either. Jacked the car up but can't feel any play in the wheel or is that not how it works? Can't say I had this before I installed ace on the vehicle, and er I did forget to tightnen the wheel nuts a while back and it knocked untill I did them up, although that was a couple weeks ago.
