:D hi folks just had a new exhaust full stainless steel full bore sports from twisted performance and a replacement intercooler
if you want torque and power this kit has just blown me away my disco like most other 200tdi top end about 85-90 now top end is a jail term 0-60  is very quick but the most pleasing think about the change is the way it can climb hills and not loose power but it pulls like a steam train is great in slow traffic have so much freedom within the engine and she kicks down at 70 mph and just pulls away .
anybody else outthere tuned there 200tdi would be great if anybody else has fitted this kit from twisted performance would be great tro hear from you will keep infomed how i get on with it but so far im very impressed will post some pics on galleries regards colin:D

Hi Colin,

If you don,t mind how much did it cost for the upgrade as if it improves the performance as much as you say I want it done ASAP.

Trevor.

hi m8 if you go to www.twistedperformance.co.uk then you can buy the individual bits and pieces for my engine 200tdi disco the whole pkg for myself was just over a grand but i believe that the exhaust systems are all about the same between 450-500 like i say i had the full pkg which tornado sports exhaust system, uprated twisted performance drop-in replacement intercooler and all the pipe work and a k&n filter been playing for a good week and a bit now mpg down but hey so what i expected that ! but what a loverly exhaust note at 70 mph great pulling away from start and i pull away up hill at 80mph she pulls away like a little train is alot fun so far money well spent in my view

hint get some good brakes m8 youl need them for this kit !

I carn't help you with the exhauts system but i can help you with a intercooler :)

Hi All,
It has been a while but I have finally got round to doing a couple jobs on my 1998 Tdi fitted the K&N the other week and put some redX through her and this helped performance(don't think it was just my imagination), and finally got the Tornado exhaust and my garage is fitting it next week so I will let you know if this also helps.
I am still thinking about the inter-cooler and other bits, I will see if I am happy with the performance after the exhaust.

Trevor.

Yes I had it fitted a week last Friday went on holiday towing my 1.5 tone caravan last week it has defiantly improved the performance it is now revving more freely and I also seem to be getting better MPG but will let you know more when I have done a few more miles.

Trevor.

i have been after the performance side of things for a while for my 200tdi 92.
not that its 2 slow cause it can still be driven fast in the right hands, its just that when mates and myself go away off roading thier rangie v8 autos just creap ahead of me from the lights and have about 10mph over me, what can i do for as little money as poss???
cheers chaps!

do nothing. just laugh at them when they enter the filling station. again.

considering the v8 is twice as powerful, you aint catching them without spending a fair bit of dosh.
an extra large intercooler would be nice though!

I'll go with what Ormus said ... my F.I.L. drives a 200TdI and I have a V8. I borrowed his for a week earlier in the year and was amazed at how far it got on a tankfull.

I had to go to Croatia a month or so ago so I bought a 200 TdI for the trip and sold it when I returned. Now I'm looking at getting rid of the V8 and getting another TdI because of the fuel economy or lack thereof and the tractability using one off road. I find the TdI much easier to control.

the best thing is, next time theres a fuel shortage on, they will be stuck at home.
whilst you and i are off to asda for some more sunflower oil at 33p per litre!
:)

you ever tried sunflower oil ormus? i have been playing on fuel thing for a while and that comment sounded like it was tried and tested?

i got a time trial on next sunday with my 200, plan to do it on veg oil so i'll let you know how it goes!!! Also fit an Allisport intercooler, big bucks but well worth the money, especially if you do a lot of road miles or towing.

did the time trial, not on veg oil though, next time. actually i won, was the only diesel there, the rest were all V8's, i ****ed on them all. have that you noisy buggers!! V8 my arse!!!

well done mate.
v8s are ok for the kings road, chelsea. useless for any real work.

lol i stuck the veggie in mine today as a 50/50 mix witha bit of white spirit, you can feel the difference both good and bad points, give a touch more low down beef which would be good for trialing if your took to it th way mine did tig, but top end seems a bit lacking.

Hi All,
Just letting you know he latest on my little project I have now ordered a up rated intercooler and silicone hose's from Allisport (£405) will not be fitting them until a week Friday but I will let you know what I think to the improvements in performance when the work is done.

Trevor.
