Power Chip

Anyone
would a power chip that fits a 2002 td5 fit a 2004 td5

the early TD5's had a chip soldered straight to the motherboard of the ECU... to change that, it has to be chopped out and a new one soldered in...as it is a non re-writable PROM

the newer ECU's were EPROM chips which are reprogrammable via a laptop with the correct software

Not sure when the transition occoured??

but it sounds like you're using an add on box...
