I gave facebook up and left a few years ago because its a pain in the arse and I don't want to know the ins and outs of other peoples life.
Sadly the greenlaning and wild camping groups I'm a member of organize everything through face book so at protest I returned a few months ago. However I had a massive cull of "friends" to people I have acutely recently spoken too and as a second filter people I want to talk to again. This left me with less than twenty which makes me look like a miserable twunt but I don't care.

Yeah i don't do bookface myself but son is always boasting about a site on bookface called just defenders and series or something like that he rates it realy well but its not for me as i hate bookface

Was quite surprised at the quick and some funny responses to my post.
I do think that this is probably the best forum going, as 'Yoyodyne' says, and that's why I place posts here (occasionally) first and foremost..
I particularly like the layout where you can go directly to a dedicated 19J section (which is of particular interest to me at this time), without having to trawl through 200/300 TDI posts, etc.
In answer to the request from 'payydg' as to why I was considering moving a post elsewhere is due to the fact that, although I've got 93 views so far on the post in question, not one buddy has chosen to comment or make any response at all. I was expecting to get a bit of a dialogue or two going and was disappointed with the lack of any reaction. My thoughts were that posting this thread elsewhere might generate some comments, even if negative, at least.
However, as I said originally, I was only contemplating doing so, and just wanted to make sure it was o.k. with the hierarchy and everyone else here before I did - thanks a lot.
